Professors who require their students to travel to destinations other than class (photography lab, museum, botanical garden research, rehearsals, etc.) must submit our free pass request form completely and accurately. The earlier your request is made, the better we can help to make the trip a success! Read on for qualifications and important info.
NOTE: Free passes are not eligible for professors’ office hours, group meetings with classmates, breaks between classes, nor travel for work in between classes. Please keep this in mind when creating your class schedule.
Through the miracle of modern technology, all eligible students will automatically receive free Ram Van passes throughout the academic term. This automated process uses your current course schedule to assign passes on a weekly basis. Carefully consider the below information prior to registration.
Passes will be automatically issued to qualified students on Wednesday mornings. The first issuance for Spring 2020 will be 1/8/20 and will be for the following week (in this case, for 1/8 to 1/14). This cycle will repeat on a weekly basis.
Using your pass is simple. Please see this brief video for a demonstration:
If you have examined the qualifications above and feel you are eligible for free travel and have verified that passes have not been added to your account, please submit the Pass Request Form at this link. Disputes will take 2-4 days to process, during which students are responsible for their own travel. If an error is found, the student will be reimbursed for any Ram Van expenses following the submission of the form. Receipts must be provided for reimbursement.
